Surely there are wonderful books to choose from. And the color of the whole situation. I mean, the attitude of the owner and all the customers, and I especially love how it's arranged into groups like: local history, nature, spiritual, home, and of course fictional works... and they have a whole slew of charming children's books in the kid's section. It's great. And she has cats that just roam around freely.
I know this is totally the wrong place to say this, but I have just started to promote books for authors, so if you are interested, please vist my site or just click here --> http://cheeseandbooks.blogspot.com/2008/03/to-authors-how-to-promote-your-book.html <--
Thank you! The book I'm writing now is set in Austin too. Looks like we've got that Brooklyn/Austin thing going. Have you read Tantalize, by Cynthia Leitich Smith? It's a vampire story set in Austin. Very cool. Take care.
I'm a writer and editor (my favorite staff jobs: ELLEgirl Features Editor and Seventeen Prom Editor). All in the name of journalism, I have spent 24 hours with male models and attended an elite finishing school for girls in New Zealand, among other hardships. In 2006, I fulfilled a life-long dream by appearing as a talking head “expert” on VH1’s The Fabulous Life of Celebrity Kids. I live in Brooklyn. My YA series, the Violet on the Runway books, are out now.

YES! I love the smell and the soft music of the bookstore. Totally worth it to not get paid while I work.
